    • Supervision and ratios

Regulation 6.2.6.1: Staff shall be able to hear all children of pre-kindergarten age and younger at all times, shall be able to see the children with a quick glance, and shall be able to physically respond immediately.

“The staff members interviewed stated the program does leave an infant inside sleeping while the group of infants are outside on the playground. The program had a protocol to check on the infant every ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes and had a monitor on the infant. During this licensing visit an infant was noted to be inside sleeping in their crib from 9:10 to 9:25 alone while the group was outside on the playground. The preschool teacher in the preschool classroom and the teachers outside cannot hear or see the infant and cannot physically respond to the infant immediately which is in violation to this rule. Corrective Action: Immediately change the program's practice and policy to make sure there is a staff member always with sleeping infants inside the classroom. By 10/10/2025, submit a confirmation of understanding with the new practice the program has developed.”
