Regulation 6.1.4.2.1: The FCCP shall ensure that the amount of awake time children under twenty-four (24) months of age spend in any confining equipment, such as a crib, playpen, port-a-crib, swing, or seat is limited to less than thirty (30) minutes in any two (2) hour period.
“During a visit to Tina's home on 08/14/2017, two department representatives observed an infant in a seated activity center and then in a highchair consecutively for approximately an hour and a half period of time. Corrective Action: Effective immediately, the use of confining equipment such as those listed in this rule will be limited to less than 30 minutes within a two hour period. Tina will create a plan to ensure infants have appropriate space and time available to explore and play freely. This plan will be submitted to Jennifer.Taylor@vermont.gov by 09/20/2017.”
