Regulation 7.2.2: The licensee shall ensure that all new staff and auxiliary staff, prior to working with children in the CBCCPP; and any new individual designated as the representative of the licensee shall submit a Records Check Authorization form to the Division and shall submit to fingerprinting at a location designated by the Division after having received the Fingerprinting Authorization Certificate by the Division.
“Although Staff A submitted to all required background clearance processes over a year ago, the police station where prints were taken lost the prints. The program did not follow up with the Division to inquire why Staff A had not been cleared to work alone with children. Corrective Action: Since the visit, Staff A submitted a record check authorization form to the Division and has been fingerprinted. Ensure that Staff A is always working in tandem with another staff member who has cleared the CDD background clearance process. By 12/31/2024, email a plan to Licensor [name] that shows how the program will track the background clearance process for each staff member to ensure that they are completed.”
