    • Building, equipment and play areas

Regulation 5.10.4.5.2: All interior and exterior walls, roofs, chimneys, floors, doors, ceilings, windows, skylights, stairways, ramps and porches shall be maintained in good repair.

“The rear exterior wall of the home and the white trim on the home and the overhanging roof is not in good repair. Large sections of the paint has been scraped down to the wood creating non pourous surfaces that children have access to. Although I did not observe paint chips on the ground threr are sections where paint appears loose and peeling from the surface, especially on the white trim. There is substantial rot at the base of the wall where it meets the foundation. This rot is creating jagged edges and a potential for splinters. Corrective Action: Please block the children's access to the section of wall that contains the jagged edges. By the corrective action date repair the damaged area and paint the exterior wall and trim. As stated in the report the Vermont Department of Health is reviewing the most recenst EMP report and the photo's from my visit. If they require repairs and provide a date that is earlier than the licensing corrective action, their requirements supersede licensings and therfore you would make repairs by their due date. Please send this licensor photos once the surface is painted and damaged sections are repaired.”
