Regulation 5.14: The licensee shall ensure that no person shall be left alone with children without approval from the Division which shall be based on the results of the background check to include fingerprinting.
“One recently hired staff person was the only staff person that brought a group of thirteen (13) children out to the playground. Later, the staff person confirmed that they were working alone with the children while on the playground. Corrective Action: Immediately ensure that no staff are left alone with children until the program receives confirmation from the Division that they have cleared Finger Printing, as well as all background clearances. Send an email to this licensor describing the system to be implemented which will ensure compliance ongoing. Status: Appeal Period.”
