    • Discipline and child guidance

Regulation 6.2.7.3: Staff shall use positive methods of guidance and behavior management that encourage self-control, self-direction, self-esteem, and cooperation.

“On 10/14/2025, Staff X grabbed a child by the arm to move them to the back of line and left a red mark on their arm. 40 minutes later, Staff X grabbed another child by the arm to move them and left three (3) small bruises on the child's arm. Staff X no longer is employed at the program, and the program director and licensee immediately made a mandated report, submitted an incident report to licensing and then notified the children's parents. This is a serious violation. Corrective Action: As discussed, the program will continue to support, mentor and supervise staff to ensure that only appropriate guidance methods and behavior management will be used with children in care. Submit confirmation of how the program will supervise and support staff. By 1/5/2026, mail the parent notification letter as outlined above and submit the list of parent names, their contact information and when they received the parent notification letter to this licensor.”
