Documentation, verification of qualifications, and all annual professional development activities as specified in the rules sections 7.3 and 7.4 of these regulations shall be submitted to NLCDC to be verified and maintained in BFIS.

“A violation was cited to this rule on 6/24/26 with corrective action due on 8/4/2026. On 9/2/26 an e-mail was sent to Elizabeth requiring the overdue corrective action be provided by 8:00 am on 9/8/2026. No response was received. The original violation stated: The provider does not have mandated reporter uploaded to BFIS. At a focused compliance visit on 2/9/2026, the provider stated that she sent the certificate in along with her certificates for another training. The other training had been entered into her BFIS account, but mandated reporter had not. The provider said she would send the certificate again, however, it is not yet in BFIS. Regulation 7.4.4: All staff, with the exception of substitutes, shall complete fifteen (15) clock hours of annual professional development activities as required in the rule 7.4.2 of these regulations.

“At a compliance visit on 6/25/2025, a violation was cited because Staff A only showed four (4) hours of annual professional development between 7/1/2023 and 6/30/2024, and zero hours between 7/1/2024 and 6/30/2025. Corrective action was for the provider to submit a plan that describes how Staff A will complete twenty-six (26) hours of annual professional development that was missing for the time period between 7/1/2023 and 6/30/2025 in addition to the fifteen (15) hours that are due for the 2025/2026 year by 6/30/2026. At the focused compliance visit on 2/9/2026, the provider produced a certificate for Staff A showing 22.5 hours of annual professional development that was completed between 9/30/2024 and 12/2/2024. This leaves 3.5 hours of annual professional development to be made up in addition to the annual requirement of fifteen (15) hours for a total of 18.5 hours by 6/30/2026. Corrective Action: Please send a plan to Licensor [name] that documents 1. The names of the trainings that will be completed; 2. How many hours is each training; and 3.
