    • Supervision and ratios

Regulation 6.2.6.1: Staff shall be able to hear all children of pre-kindergarten age and younger at all times, shall be able to see the children with a quick glance, and shall be able to physically respond immediately.

“On 12/21/2022 a child remained in the building on their rest mat while other children and adults went outside to the playground. For a period of approximately 20 minutes, the staff did not realize that the child was not outside with the group. There was a staff person in the program space with the child during some of the time preparing for lunch, though for a period of 5-6 minutes when the staff member left the building to get lunch, the child was in the space alone. Corrective Action: Submit to sarah.crosier@vermont.gov an updated corrective action plan identifying the training and supervision that was implemented, as well as changes made to the program procedures, that will ensure that all children will be fully supervised moving forward.”
