Regulation 7.4.4: All staff, with the exception of substitutes, shall complete fifteen (15) clock hours of annual professional development activities as required in the rule 7.4.2 of these regulations.
“Provider has 4.5 hours of professional development documented in BFIS for the period under review. Provider stated that she did not have other training in that time frame as she lost track of the requirement while her program was closed for her maternity leave, but she has done some after that time frame. Corrective Action: Complete 10.5 hours of professional development - which can include the recent hours - by 2/27/2026 and notify sarah.crosier@vermont.gov when these are complete and submitted to Northern Lights for entry in BFIS. An additional 15 hours of professional development should be completed prior to 11/20/2026 to meet requirements for the next review period, which will be reviewed at the next compliance visit. Develop a plan to ensure that at least 15 hours of professional development are completed each year.”
