Regulation 5.6.5: All prescription medication administered by staff shall be in its original container, properly labeled for the child, and administered prior to the expiration date on the container.

“One child's prescription medication was not in it's original container and did not have a prescription label. • Supervision and ratios

Regulation 5.4.2.5: Soft objects, toys or loose bedding shall not be used in infants' sleep areas. Soft or loose bedding includes: bumper pads, pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, blankets, flat sheets, cloth diapers, and bibs. Infants shall not be swaddled for sleep.

“A concern was brought to the Division that included a photo of an infant identified as being under twelve (12) months old with their face covered with a blanket while sleeping in their crib. Staff A confirmed the age of the child and said that this must have been an oversight, because typically, if blankets are used in lulling a young infant to sleep, they are removed from the infant as they are placed in their crib. Corrective Action: Ensure that no infant under twelve (12) months has a blanket in their cribs while sleeping. By 12/12/2025, email Licensor [name] and confirm that all staff who provide care for children under twelve (12) months, including substitutes, have reviewed and understand rules in section 5.4 regarding safe sleep practices. In the email, provide the names of staff who have reviewed the rules.”
