Regulation 5.6.5: All prescription medication administered by staff shall be in its original container, properly labeled for the child, and administered prior to the expiration date on the container.
“A child's emergency medication is on site stored in a plastic bag with the child's name handwritten on the bag. The medication packaging and adminstration information is not present in the bag. Corrective Action: It was reviewed on site that the identified medication needs to be maintained as required by this rule. Email notification was received on 02/16/2026 that the required corrections have been made. Send an email to Licensing Field Specialist Crawford identifying who will be responsible going forward for ensuring medication is compliant with this rule before it is accepted into the program.”
