“Licensing Specialist observed the school age children gathered on the carpet area participating in a group activity. The children went straight from the carpet area to the table for lunch without washing their hands. The children had washed their hands when they came in from outside before the went to the carpet area. Handwashing is the last activity that should occur before the children go directly to the table to eat. The Owner discussed this with the staff while Licensing Specialist was present and the Owner assured the Licensing Specialist that handwashing would be the last thing children do before they go to the table for snack or lunch. This was corrected on site.”
