“The provider has four levels to her townhouse. Located on the second level, is a barrier that is hard-mounted at the top of these stairs. Even though, the gate is hard-mounted, the style of the barrier is a mesh fabric. There is a button on this gate that secures the netting to pulled so that it tightens the fabric. The concern is the tautness of the netting. There is also approximately a 3"gap between the post and the netting. Upon discussion of this barrier and attempting to create a more durable and secure fitting, it was decided to move the fasteners to the side of the post which would alleviate the gap and stretch the netting to make it tighter. It was also discussed about utilizing a different style gate for long lasting wear and tear for at the top of the stairs. The provider agreed that another gate would be purchased. In the mean time, the Licensing Specialist will conduct a follow-up inspection to view the gate with the new adjustments.”
