    • Supervision and ratios

Regulation 6.2.1.5: The registered FCCP shall ensure that the number of staff present meets requirements described in the chart below for ages of children, maximum group size, and staff/child ratios at any time of day.

“On 6/24/2026, the provider had seven (7) non-school age children in care when the Licensor arrived at the program with one (1) caregiver. On 6/23/2026, attendance showed seven (7) children in care from 7:10 till 4:30; the provider confirmed they were out of ratio. The provider is allowed to only care for six (6) non-school aged children according to this rule. The provider thought a preschool child age four (4), was considered a school age since they attended a preschool program. All children who are aged five (5) and attend kindergarten are considered school age children. Providing care for more children than allowed is a serious violation. Corrective Action: By 7/6/2026, Submit the names, dates of birth and schedule for each child enrolled in the program that demonstrates your understanding of ratios. Additionally, submit a Parental Notification Letter (PNL), which is a copy of the licensing report, must be provided to each parent of every child enrolled within ten (10) days of the report submission. Provide a list of parent's names, child's name and contact information for each enrolled child.”
