“During the inspection, there was an approved substitute at the home, at first unbeknownst to the Licensing Specialist because she was in another unapproved room. At arrival, the Licensing Specialist went outside alone to observe the outside area. Later, the Licensing Specialist asked where one of the enrolled children were and the provider retrieved this child from the substitute who was in another unapproved room caring for this child. At the time of arrival, the provider answered the door while holding this child. The provider was informed that this room could not be utilized as child care space until it was approved by the Fire Marshal and by the Licensing Specialist. The provider stated she would be interested in having this room approved for use. The room is currently filled with varying supplies etc. The provider discussed how she would rearrange this room for use. The provider was informed to contact Licensing Specialist if she decides that she would like to have this room approved. The provider stated she understands that this room cannot be used at this time until it is approved.”

“The Licensing Specialist reviewed 9 children's file's at today's inspection. Three of the nine files are for drop in children. All of the files were missing required docuemntatoin. The Licenisng Specialist provided a hand-written list that contained the items that were missing from each of the children's files. Please obtain the documentation as soon as possible and submit a letter of correction indicating that each of these items have been received. It is recommended to separate sibling paperwork and create one file for each child. This will assist with organization of the files.”

“For the February 2022-2023 continued training, the provider completed her continued training late. It was completed on 4/19/2023 and it was supposed to be completed by the end of February 2023. For this current timeframe, submit at least 12 hours of continued training by the end of February 2024 to your Licensing Specialist. As a reminder, complete the updated Basic Health and Safety training and submit the certificate.”
