“LS conducted a complaint inspection in which it was alleged that a 20 month old who has a history of biting is "caged" in a corner of the classroom to prevent him from biting other children. LS spoke with the teacher in the classroom who confirmed that on more than one occasion the child was placed behind a baby gate in the back of the room to keep him from biting anyone again. The teacher also stated that the child would be placed in a chair for 4 minutes in "time out". LS spoke with the director of the program who stated that she knew this had happened once but told the staff not to do it again. LS spoke with the director and stated that this was inappropriate supervision and that the classroom supervision practices needed to be revisited so that this particular child was being consistently supervised at all times. At the time of this complaint inspection LS observed two school age children each pushing infants in a stroller in the front parking. LS told the director this was not allowed and at no time should other children in care be allowed to be hands on with any infants in care ever.”

“LS conducted a complaint inspection in which it was alleged that children were using a before and after care room, a preschool room and a twos room that is not an approved room on the license. A change of facilities form was submitted in July but the request was denied because the supporting documentation that was required was submitted incorrectly and as of the time of this inspection, correct staffing patterns still had not been submitted to open the room.”
