“The school has been sending the program to use the media center when the school needs to use the gym space during the program's operating hours. The Office of Child Care has not approved the media center for use as an alternative space for the program. The art room was the approved alternate space. Specialist looked at the space today and it was safe for use. However specialist was not able to measure the space as she did not have a measuring device with her. She will have to return to do that but it appears that the space allotted to the program in the media center would be large enough for approximately 25 children which is the number of children expected this afternoon if all are present. Center is reminded that when they have to use space that is not listed on the license it needs approval by the Office of Child Care prior to using it.”
