“On June 21, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding a lack of supervision and not following transportation requirements of visually checking the bus at the final stop. Based on interviews, received staff statements, and attendance records obtained, this complaint is substantiated for a lack of supervision and not following transportation requirements of visually checking the bus at the final stop. The center self-reported this incident and conducted an in-person training for all staff at the Darley Road Club that included a review of pre-camp safety training and field trip safety procedures. The center responded quickly to the incident to prevent this from happening again in the future.”

“The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on May 4, 2023, regarding allegations of not following their transportation policies and a child being left unsupervised. An investigation was conducted beginning May 9, 2023, and concluded on May 11, 2023. This complaint is substantiated for not following proper transportation procedures. The transportation permission completed by families did not include specific arrangements for driving the children from their elementary school to the child care facility. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for lack of supervision because Child #1 went back into her school to call Parent #1 and other adults were present. School staff stated additional adults were also present around the school buses during dismissal.”
