“The Office of Child Care received a complaint stating that sometimes there are 20-30 children in care at one time. Facility is reminded that they are to follow regulations regarding staff child ratio at all times. Licensing Specialist reviewed attendance records and confirmed the provider has 13 or 14 children checked in on more than one occasion. Provider states that sometimes they have 13 children if a parent drops off. Licensing Specialist reminds provider that they are never to exceed the capacity on their license or exceed the limits of staff child ratio.”

“The Office of Child Care received a complaint that sometimes there are 20-30 children in care. Provider is reminded that regulations regarding capacity are to ensure that each child is able to receive the individualized attention and care they require. Provider states that on occasion they have 13 children in care, LS reviewed attendance records that indicated there were 13 or 14 children in care on several occasions. Provider is reminded that they cannot provide appropriate individualized attention and care when exceeding capacity.”

“The Office of Child Care received a complaint stating that on occasion children are observed outside without an approved adult. Provider is reminded that children must be supervised at all times by an approved adult. Provider informed Licensing Specialist that they frequently have 13 children in care, one child who is enrolled as drop in (8 months) comes whenever the parent needs care. LS informed the provider they cannot exceed the capacity listed on their registration.”

“The Office of Child Care received a complaint that it has been observed that this provider has 20-30 children in care at one time. Provider is reminded that they are to follow regulations regarding capacity at all times. LS reviewed emergency forms and confirmed the provider has 13 children enrolled. At the time of the inspection Provider informed LS that she had 13 children in care because one parent dropped off when on a day the child was not enrolled in. LS reminded the provider that they are never to have more than 12 children in care at any given time. LS reviewed attendance records and was able to confirm 13 or 14 children in care on more than one occasion”

“Provider states they do not maintain an attendance log for children in care. They sign children in and out through the BrightWheel app. LS viewed BrightWheel attendance and saw several occasions where 13 or 14 children were signed in on more than one occasion.”

“Licensing Specialist observed three emergency forms that were missing the second page. Provider is asked to get those corrected and submit proof via email.”
