“The licensing specialist observed an infant napping in a baby rocker. An approved additional adult and substitute were present. Upon the specialist's request, the substitute moved the infant to the crib. When the provider arrived, she explained that the child had just fallen asleep and that they were waiting for him to enter a deeper sleep before transferring him to the crib. The provider noted that this was the infant’s third day in care. She emphasized that she preferred to wait for the baby to fall into a deeper sleep before moving him. The licensing specialist reminded the provider that a child must fall asleep and shall be transferred immediately.”
