“Upon arrival, the LS reviewed the registration with her. During the inspection the LS heard an infant crying. LS stated " I just heard a baby crying. Is there another baby here?" The provider hesitated and a child in care said yes. The LS then walked towards the stairs and asked the provider if there was a baby upstairs. The provider said yes and the LS requested to go upstairs. The LS saw an infant with the substitute. The provider stated that she was helping out a friend and this was the first time. The provider was not going to tell the LS that there was an infant upstairs. The LS reviewed the attendance records, and the infant has been in care on July 1, 2026 and July 8, 2026.”
