“There were concerns that a staff member had been working at this facility for sometime without obtaining proper background check clearances. The health department confirmed that this staff member was working without a cleared and enhanced background check and sent them home until once could be produced. Resolution: It was determined that this staff member cannot pass a background check and their employment at the child care facility was terminated. The health department reminded the provider of the requirements of ensuring staff receive background check clearance prior to working at the facility.”
