“Three employees say they observed the director balling and twisting children's shirts at the collars to pull the children closer to her when they are not listening. One staff said she was told this was okay but you could not hit the children. A four year old girl that was pulled by the shirt is no longer in care but was made to stand with her arms in the air for 5 minutes by the director according to a staff person. During that time, she was crying and said it hurt. A staff person said a two year old boy was sent to the director's room for not listening and that she grabbed him by bunching his shirt collar, pulled him closer then plucked him in the forehead multiple times while saying to him "You're not listening." The same staff person said she was told by the director that the only way the child would listen is by fear and to take him to the bathroom, grab him by his shirt and get in his face. She admitted to doing this once while on the phone with the director. Staff persons also reported children are pinched if they are not reading right and that the children are scared of the director. One staff said the director handles the children rough and pushes them in chairs.”

“It is alleged that a two year old child was hit on the head by the director. It is alleged that a former staff member witnessed the director hitting children, grabbing them by the collar and being verbally aggressive. This behavior is reportedly done in front of other children. Three staff report the director has grabbed children's shirt collars, bunched and twisted the shirt and pulled the child closer to her or where she wants the child to go. Two staff stated that the director will pinch the children during reading and "not to make her mad because she will pinch us". Two staff persons stated the director plucks the children on the head when they are not listening or misbehaving. A two year old reported the director popped his head and then demonstrated a plucking motion on his head. He kept tapping the top of his head and making plucking motions. One staff person observed the director tell the children to shut up and made a girl stand up with her arms in the air for 5 minutes while it hurt her to keep her arms raised. The same child has been grabbed by the arm and pushed in chairs or made to sit on her knees according to staff. Allegations were denied by director on 4/24/25.”
