Regulation 5.4: Afterschool Child Care Program Staff that work in the Afterschool Child Care Program are required to have at least one of the following within the first year of employment: * Vermont Afterschool Foundations Certificate or * Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate or * Vermont On-the-Job Training Certificate or * Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential or * Vermont Program Director Credential or * Vermont Teacher Licensure or * BA/BS or Associates degree

“It was identified that there are three staff employed who have not submitted position qualification documents to Northern Lights or have been employed for more than one year and do not meet Program Staff qualifications as required. Corrective Action: For qualified staff, submit qualification documents to Northern Lights. For each staff not qualified, identify which qualification option within this rule each person will pursue and create a timeline for completion using the Individual Professional Development Plan IPDP per regulation 5.33. For qualified staff, submit qualification documents to Northern Lights Direct Send by July 1 2026. For each staff pending qualifications, develop and submit am IPDP to licensor [name] by July 1 2026. Seek support from Northern Lights Resource Advisors as needed.”
