This staff member also moved Child #2 by the shoulders after the chair Child #2 was sitting in got placed on the staff members foot. OCCL Standards Complaint (Substantiated)

“OCCL received a complaint on February 25, 2022, regarding improper staff-to-child ratios and improper screen time procedures. An investigation was conducted on March 1, 2022. The complaint is substantiated for improper staff-to-child ratios because on March 1, 2022, unqualified staff were alone in two classrooms, and attendance records for the week of February 22, 2022, documented the morning and afternoon were out of ratio daily and had unqualified staff alone with children. On multiple occasions the staff-to-child ratio was almost doubled. Maximum group size was exceeded on February 22, 2022, and February 25, 2022. A concern noted was the early childhood administrator and curriculum coordinator were no longer employed as of February 9, 2022, and the facility did not notify OCCL of the change. Two staff did not know the proper staff-to-child ratio for the children in their care.”
