      13A.16.08.01A(2)(b)

“LS spoke to Doreda and Annie. Program staff stated on 1/20 or 1/21, 3 boys were in the bathroom during the naptime transition period. Doreda stated she was positioned outside of the bathroom and was looking in the opposite direction of the bathroom for 5 minutes and then heard giggling in the bathroom. When she approached the bathroom, she found two boys at two separate stalls and one boy standing against the wall. She stated she asked the boys what they were giggling about and the boys did not reply back to her. She stated two boys finished and exited the bathroom and one boy remained to use the bathroom. Doreda and Annie stated majority of the boys in the room are very playful except for two boys in the class. Both staff stated they did not see the boys touching private areas in the bathroom. LS informed both Annie and Doreda 5 minutes is too long of a period to not actively supervise the children in the bathroom and supervision is required at all times in the room. Staff stated the transition periods are the most difficult periods of the day and extra support is needed during those times.”
