OCCL Standards Complaint (Substantiated)
“On April 19, 2022, a complaint was received regarding serving spoiled milk, not meeting the needs of a child in care, and a parent not being informed of a child s injury or receiving an incident report. An investigation was conducted on April 26, 2022. There was no evidence to substantiate this complaint for serving a child spoiled milk because the provider stated she keeps sippy cups at the home, washes them out, and she had no knowledge of a sippy cup or bottle in a child s bag. There is no evidence to substantiate the claim that [name] failed to meet the needs of a child because he missed two Zoom sessions because it was due to lack of communication and technical difficulties. This complaint is substantiated for failing to inform a parent or guardian of an injury while in care and providing documentation of the incident.”
