      8VAC20-780-420-E-2 Complaint related: No

“Based on interview, policy review, and documentation review the center failed to ensure that if asked by parents, feedback be provided about daily activities, physical well-being, and developmental milestones. Evidence: 1) Parent #1 asked to be updated by the child’s teacher about her child’s developmental milestones including whether the child is napping and whether the child is successfully using the restroom. The center replied via email that the best way to gain information was through the office staff who could relay the information from the teacher to the parent. It further stated that nap time is considered a planning time for the teachers and that multiple staff are in and out of the classroom so it would be difficult to give an accurate picture of naptime for one child. 2) When asked the center stated that they do not allow parents to speak to the teachers directly because it is considered ?abandonment? for a teacher to not be 100% focused on the child during the day. They stated that parents must wait to speak to the teacher for a 6 week ?adjustment? period.”

      8VAC20-780-420-C Complaint related: No

These include parents being able to schedule volunteer time inside the school and scheduling a birthday celebration. 2) Email dated June 24, 2022 states ?since we are still (unfortunately) in the midst of COVID, we are currently only allowing staff and students in the building.? 3) When asked on September 22, 2022, the Director stated that parents are not allowed to enter the building without scheduling an appointment first.”
