“There were concerns that the teacher on-site could not gain access to the main building due to a locked door. Additionally, the teacher had children with them at the time and held a two hour class in unsafe conditions. The health district performed an investigation and confirmed the class took place in a room with no air conditioning, no easily accessible bathroom, and no access to records to have the children picked up. Resolution: After the incident, they made multiple keys to the building to prevent future problems with access. Teachers for the summer program will ensure they have remote/digital access to parent records for future use as well.”
